The Metro-Maniac Chronicles

Litlinks Review

I picked this one because of the unconventional title. Kudos to the author for picking such a unique title, ‘Duck you…’ To know what this means, you will have to read the book.

The Metro-Maniac Chronicles: Through the Eyes of an Obsessive-Compulsive Metro-Maniac by Jasveer Singh Dangi offers readers a unique and humorous lens through which to experience the mundane yet dynamic life aboard the Delhi Metro.

Written as a light-hearted narrative, the book encapsulates the author’s observations during his commutes, transforming everyday events into entertaining and imaginative vignettes. Jasveer Singh Dangi uses his sharp observational skills and boundless creativity to bring to life characters and situations that metro riders might find hilariously familiar.

The book is short and accessible, making it a quick yet memorable read. Its quirky tone and personal anecdotes ensure it resonates not only with metro commuters but also with anyone who enjoys slice-of-life humor.

Readers have described it as a whimsical “ode to the Delhi Metro,” blending wit and genuine appreciation for the journeys it facilitates.

This book is recommended for those seeking a fun, relatable exploration of urban life and the oddities of human behavior. Whether you’re a Delhiite or someone who loves observing the quirks of public transportation, this book is bound to leave you smiling.

This is my fourth and by far the shortest outing as an Author.Delhi Metro has reduced my everyday commute time of roughly an hour and a half on my Royal Enfield Thunder Bird to merely forty five minutes. So, this book is my ode to DMRC. These forty five minutes are not just minutes for me, they are a gateway to my creative side. I can write better when I am in the Metro.A typical Metro journey is not just a journey for me, it’s a whirlwind adventure for me where my mind captures everything I see and hear and translates it into a fun version, The ‘JAZ version’. Call it a curse or a gift or you might even call it creepy, but my sense of observation has always been of the highest level and my imagination knows no boundaries and toping it all the trainer-keeda (A Bug; as in noun) in me keeps converting these daily observations into training-worthy case studies. The Metro-Maniac Chronicles is my version of different kinds of people I have encountered during my journeys in the Metro and their mirror kinds in a typical workplace.
